The Cowshed is my private boudoir studio, a converted barn beside Llancayo Windmill on the edge of Usk, Monmouthshire. It’s 15 minutes from the Prince of Wales Bridge and an easy drive from across South Wales, the West Country and the Midlands.

Sat nav tip: The driveway has a sign to Llancayo Farm and Private - you are in the right place. Follow the driveway down, round the right bend and then at a small T junction, turn right and then the first left, The Cowshed is at the bottom on the left in its own little spot of Heaven!
Parking: free, right outside the door, with windmill views
Access: level, step-free entry and an easy-access bathroom. Tell me about any access needs and I’ll adapt things for you.

Newport, Cwmbran, Abergavenny, Monmouth: under 30 minutes
Cardiff, Chepstow: around 40 minutes
Bristol: around 45 minutes
Hereford, Gloucester: around an hour
Cheltenham, Worcester, Swansea: an hour to an hour and a quarter

Coming by train
Usk doesn’t have a railway station. The nearest mainline station is Newport, about 20 minutes away by taxi. Let me know your train times and I’ll help you plan.
Staying nearby
Because we are in such a beautiful area with a castle, river and countryside walks all on the doorstep, Usk also has plenty of choice for accommodation from the historic 3 Salmons Hotel a mile away or the boutique rooms offered by The Wallace Steakhouse. Just ask and I shall help you choose.
